Abstract
Hepatic lymphangioma is a rare benign tumor and usually occurs as a part of systemic lymphangiomatosis. Isolated hepatic lymphangioma is extremely rare. We report a 60-year-old woman with asymptomatic hepatic masses found incidentally by
abdominal
ultrasonography. The results of liver function tests and tumor marker test were normal. Abdominal CT showed 1-5 §¯ sized unenhanced multiple masses in the liver. On abdominal MRI, the masses exhibited low signal intensity on the T1-weighted
images
and
high signal intensity on the T2-weighted and highly T2-weighted images. Histologic examination of the sono-guided biopsy specimen revealed that the mass had acellular cavernous spaces lined by single layer of endothelial cells. There was no
malignant
cell. She was diagnosed as having isolated hepatic lymphangiomatosis and discharged.
